Meet Ted, a gallant gentleman and Willa, a lovely lady -- my parents and the inspirations for GENTEIL. Faithfully devoted to each other, their family, friends and community; my parents set an example for being genuine and gracious. They lived a life of love, warmly welcomed all and had a zest for experiencing life by exploring, entertaining, sharing and learning.
My parents' exquisite essence and superb standards are in each GENTEIL fragrance. Each drop, each dab is true peace and pleasure for the senses.

Soft Scents to Savor
GENTEIL, pronounced 'gentle' are soothing scents for curious minds, sensitive skins and the allergy apt.
All fragrances are caringly crafted in my scent studio outside of Detroit, Michigan. Totally tender, GENTEIL fragrances are made with a bounty of botanicals and a dab of the diaspora!
The name GENTEIL is my modern invention of a new word from the words genteel and gentle. It's a blend of two letters from each of my parents' first names and the feelings you experience when wearing the fragrances -- exquisite and easy, not sneezy.
GENTEIL fragrances are an artistic blend of the pivotal plants, people and places of my heritage. A dynamic diaspora spanning from Africa, the Caribbean, South America, Europe and the United States.
Cherished memories of a splendid life rooted (born) in Alabama and raised in Detroit guides and inspires how I create -- thoughtfully and vibrantly.
